1.  Glass wool felt - Installation technical specifications

Glass wool felt can be used for external wall insulation

Placement of veneers: If the product has veneers, they should be facing outward.

Vertical installation of rolled felt:

Fix the glass wool felt roll with two insulation nails at the top of the building, and spread the roll vertically along the wall. Place insulation nails with a diameter of not less than 90mm in the center of the coil material. When the height of the building does not exceed 40m, the maximum distance between every two insulation nails should not exceed 1.35m.

Horizontal installation of rolled felt:

When the height of the building does not exceed 40m, roll the felt horizontally and place insulation nails at intervals of 1.20m. The diameter of the insulation nails should not be less than 90mm, and then add rafters at intervals of 0.60m to reinforce the glass wool.

Note: When encountering doors, windows, and other locations, insulation nails should be placed appropriately to ensure the fixation and aesthetics of glass wool in these areas.

Glass wool felt can be used for inner wall insulation

1. Cut glass wool with a wallpaper knife to a length of+1 to 2cm from the height of the wall.

2. Place two insulation nails in the middle of the designated wall.

3. Fix the glass wool on the wall with inward facing and edge to edge alignment.

4. Handle the joint position and remove the excess part of the insulation nail.

Glass wool felt can be used for roof insulation

1. When laying the glass wool felt, the veneer should face towards the indoor side, perpendicular to the purlin. Leave about 20 centimeters of rolled felt at one eave and fix it to the outermost purlin with a special fixture or double-sided tape.

2. When unwinding, ensure alignment and tension, lay the glass wool felt on the other side of the eaves, leaving an additional 20 centimeters of felt, and fix it to the outermost purlin with special fixtures or double-sided tape.

3. Two rolls of cotton are connected together by binding them with a stapler on the edge of the veneer.

4. Install the roof color steel plate, remove the special fixtures at the eaves, and use the reserved 20cm veneer to trim the edges with glass wool.

5. Pay attention to the tension of the glass wool felt Align The seams between rolls are tight, and when longitudinal overlap is required, the overlap joint should be installed at the purlin.

6. According to the engineering requirements, to avoid the occurrence of cold bridges, it is possible to consider placing some hard insulation materials on the purlins.

Construction of glass wool felt outer wall surface

1. Facing the indoor side, roll the glass wool from the eaves to the bottom of the wall, and use double-sided tape to fix it to the lowest purlin, leaving an extra 20 centimeters.

2. Cut off the glass wool felt 20 centimeters above the wall top purlin and fix it with double-sided tape.

3. Trim the glass wool and install the colored steel plate on the wall.

4. Two rolls of cotton are connected together by binding them with a stapler on the edge of the veneer.

5. Pay attention to maintaining tension, alignment, verticality, and tight seams between glass wool rolls.

Precautions for using glass wool felt

* Glass wool should be placed in a dry and ventilated place, and should be protected from rain during transportation.

* Glass wool should be kept away from open flames, and special attention should be paid to molten welding slag on the construction site.

* Due to the good resilience of the glass wool substrate, and the fact that the expansion of the polypropylene adhesive fabric is generally greater than that of the clamping ribs, after installation, the glass wool substrate may support the polypropylene plastic veneer fabric, resulting in obvious longitudinal stripes at the clamping ribs. Due to uneven application of force during construction, the density, direction, and depth of stripes are also different, which affects aesthetics. The method to avoid this problem is to hire experienced construction personnel to carefully carry out the construction, and use a unified specialized fixture when tensioning the glass wool.

2.  Glass wool board - Installation technical specifications

1. The glass wool board should be equipped with a metal frame at the floor and corresponding roof, and the frame should be perpendicular to the floor.

2. The glass wool board is installed between the already placed metal frames, with a vertical metal frame spacing of 60cm.

3. Stick gypsum board on one side of the frame and fix it on the frame.

4. Place glass wool between the frames.

5. Fix the gypsum board on the other side.

3.  Technical specification for installation of high-temperature glass wool

High temperature glass wool is pre welded with pins on the surface of the equipment, and then tied to the surface of the equipment with iron wire. When the temperature of the equipment to be insulated exceeds 250 ℃, it is best to use a double-layer insulation mode. The joints between the inner and outer layers of glass wool should be staggered to avoid thermal bridges and heat loss. When the temperature of the equipment requiring insulation exceeds 400 ℃, it is recommended to use a certain thickness of aluminum silicate for the inner layer and high-temperature resistant glass wool for the outer layer. The joints between the two layers should also be staggered. Finally, wrap the outer layer to protect the glass wool and achieve aesthetic requirements.
