1、 Technical Specification for Installation of Rubber Insulation Materials

 

The installation of rubber insulation materials should pay attention to the following points:

1. All seams must be bonded and sealed with specialized adhesive.

2. After installation, the thickness of tees, elbows, valves, flanges, and other accessories must reach the design thickness.

3. When using glue to bond, only slightly squeeze the interface between the materials to bond them together, without applying too much force.

4. The installation of rubber insulation materials should follow the sequence of large pipes first, small pipes later, elbows and tees first, straight pipes later, and finally valves and flanges.

5. When installing chilled water pipes and refrigeration equipment, the gaps between the two ends of the rubber insulation pipe and the iron pipe need to be coated with glue and bonded together.

6. The side seams of the pipeline should be installed in inconspicuous places as much as possible, and the seams of the two pipes should be staggered to avoid connecting into a straight line.

7. Do not install on running machines. Do not turn on the device within 36 hours after installation.

8. Due to packaging reasons, the large-diameter rubber insulation pipe has become elliptical and should be cut open on a flatter side.

 

2、 Correct use of glue

 

1. Glue should be shaken evenly before use. In actual installation, it is recommended to use small cans of glue to prevent it from evaporating too quickly; If necessary, the large can can can be poured into a small can for use, and the can mouth should be sealed when not in use.

2. Suggest using a short and hard brush.

3. Apply a thin layer of specialized adhesive evenly to the bonding surface of the material.

4. After applying the glue, wait for 3-10 minutes (the length of time depends on the grade of the glue, the temperature and humidity of the atmosphere, and will expire if exposed for more than 20 minutes), then align the interface and squeeze it to bond.

5. When the finger touches the adhesive surface, if the finger does not stick to the material surface and there is no sticky feeling on the material surface, it can be bonded.

6. When bonding, simply align and grip the two surfaces of the adhesive interface for a while.

7. If the two joint surfaces are not sticky when pressed together due to prolonged storage time, please repeat steps 2-6.

8. When connecting two materials under pressure, there is no need to wait for the glue to dry. The wet bonding method is used. First, place the materials at the installation site, apply glue to the interface of the materials, adjust the position of the two materials correctly, and soon they will be firmly bonded according to your designed position.

9. Check if the adhesive and anti rust paint protecting the iron pipe are firmly bonded.

 

* Factors considered for the thickness of rubber insulation materials:


1. The higher the ambient temperature, the thicker the material;

2. The higher the relative humidity, the thicker the material;

3. The lower the temperature of the medium, the thicker the material;

4. The larger the diameter of the pipeline, the thicker the material.
